A New Quest for Leadman!

After taking the second half of 2011 to recover and train back up to decent fitness, I decided to go for Leadman again. I can’t think of a better way to come back. So as of Feb 27, 24 weeks from the Leadville 100 MTB Race, I officially started training. Everything prior to this, including the CoastalChallenge in January was just getting me prepared to start training. I’m looking forward to the whole adventure. I love the training, running and riding with friends and just putting in the blood, sweat and tears it takes to accomplish something like Leadman. I will never be able to answer why. I just do.
So since Leadman and this blog is all about endurance, here is a song from one of my favorite bands that's all about the long run. And since they are getting close to there 40th anniversary they know all about endurance! “Marathon” from Rush performed last fall in Cleveland, OH.

  1. Well, cupcake, it's about time you stopped resting on your laurels, and jumped back into the race! Congratulations - you are an inspiration to me!

  2. At least you didn't call me a cream creampuff!

  3. Drat, that's it - I had a memory lapse! I meant creampuff. At least I got the first letter right. I'm trying to get back there this year. If I manage it, I'd be glad to offer help with crew support services.
